Meet Charles Jourdan. His Haitian-American roots lend to his earliest musical experiences. He’s fluent in English, French, Haitian Creole French, Italian, student teaches at LIU Post, playing up-right bass and singing on a world stage for the university. He also is our Engineer, recorded an album under our label and helped record Thaddeus Lowe’s solo record. Despite all his talents Charles is a beer aficionado, fun loving guy and will be running a new blog series right here on e9productions tumblr page!

Covering everything from tone to gear! He certainly has a brilliant ear and we’re honored to have him sharing some of his valuable insight into music production-and-who knows what else?

My son
Thaddeus
You’re broken and you’re faithless

From The Daydreamers Musings To The NYC Street Corner

Hi, I’m Nadeem Ahmed. I’ve spent the last few years soul searching. People have a general sense of me to be a bit of a dreamer type. But really? There are people I can count on my hands (hands that do work) that can reflect these dreams. So I wanted to change that.. I wanted to find a way to bring people together. People like me, who also have dreams while drinking their teas, or silently bending into shapes to take peculiar pictures, and other mutually shared oddities.

I am convinced we will put a smile on someone’s face with this street corner show I have put together. June 21st is the longest day of the year. This is something that fascinates me because nature itself gives us a day of light(life) that lingers. A day that illumination longs to linger for us. So why not celebrate this momentous occasion?

I am convinced lives will change when they see the rag-tag group of artists, poets, painters, and friendly human-beings engaging, performing, creating. So where will you be? June 21st at 4pm at the cross roads of Houston and Bowery? Will you be there to see how these musings are coming to life?

Get out of the subways and into the streets… This Summer is ours to remember with light.

Thaddeus Lowe and Charles Jourdan joint street fair concert just announced! Thursday, June 21st catch both our artists performing live right in front of the iconic mural at the Houston Bowery intersection on the Lower East Side!! This is a huge event to celebrate the 2012 Summer Solstice!

Thaddeus Lowe On His “Rose Garden” Album

As Charles Norris starts to pack his bags to Norway for a Peter Cincotti tour, he gets a phone call from long time friend and bandmember of indie rockgroup Apophenia. Yep! I, Nadeem “deemy” Ahmed aka Thaddeus Lowe have finished recording my album in my home studio…

I needed a drummer and as of Wednesday, March 14th we entered Brandon Daniele’s Studio (Organ player for Adele’s drummer Derick Wright) together with Jason Norris running the session to track the drums there. Our Love Is Holy, The Carpenter’s Son, and Stars, They Aligned feature Charles Norris on drums!

Home Studio: This is the greatest freedom any artist can ask for when his medium is music. Owning a means to sculpting your art.

“I don’t think there will be another Thaddeus Lowe album as you know it, and that’s OK. I wrote these melodies and instrumentals years ago. The writing  has been a result of the relationship that essentially Illuminated me after a coming of age period in my life. I died a huge death before meeting her… I was looking at the child I grew up as, the young boy I was, and the young guy struggling to find his truth…

I set out on a grand journey. Meeting my wife,  was the eventual result of a series of answers to questions I set out to find. What I didn’t know was spiritually, there was going to be a lot accepting and letting go. The pain from the marrow of my soul, was all about in the letting go of learned fears. When I did, she was the divine feminine that reveled herself to me.

I felt as if I walked through the fire to become more centered in my heart… A task and tale so extensive I’ve written a book about it. (This journey will be expressed in a small booklet I’d love to give to my children one day)

But what I do have to give everyone, and soon, is an album.

This book of poems and short story’s is where I drew my inspiration to make an album from from a writers perspective. The cast of characters are the following…
